This film series takes us to remarkably diverse regions of the world, which have undergone or are still undergoing radical change. Where plants and animals were once driven out by agriculture, industry or the extraction of raw materials, nature is now returning with full force. Landscapes are bursting into new life – because old industries have been decommissioned or new approaches to land use are being adopted. And because more and more people have recognised the value of nature and are prepared to fight for it.
With lavishly filmed images and powerful storylines the films show that even destruction can be transformed into a new beginning for nature. And that everyone can help to rescue the biodiversity of our planet for the future.
