NEW LIFE FOR LAKE ERIE

Agriculture, urbanisation and industry have taken a heavy toll on Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes on the northern edge of the United States. But now more and more people are working hard to restore nature around the lake. Rivers are recovering, wetlands coming into being, exterminated animal and plant species are returning. The wounds inflicted by man on nature are beginning to heal.
