Metamorphoses: Costa Rica

OPERATION TROPICAL FOREST

Costa Rica is famous for its national parks, tropical forests and rare wildlife. Less well known is that the forests here had been disappearing for centuries – mainly giving way to agriculture. But now the country has taken a new direction. Vast areas have been reforested, the natural flora and fauna are recovering. The film explores something that was long thought impossible: the return of the tropical forest and its inhabitants.
