With the three films in the “Good News from Planet Earth” series we are attempting something unusual. We are tackling prejudices on major issues of our age – like water, energy and nature conservation – and showing that the bad news we often hear on these subjects is by no means universally applicable. Wherever problems arise, there are also people with vision, inventiveness and enterprise, who find new approaches. They show how things can be done better.

The films present possible solutions from various regions of the world – whether the Republic of the Congo, Denmark, the USA, Ecuador or the Ruhr District of Germany. They focus – fully in the spirit of constructive journalism – on good news. Using fascinating images and elaborate, humorous animations, the films provide a wealth of amazing facts and make the “Good News from Planet Earth” series an exceptional experi-ence.
