GOOD NEWS FROM PLANET EARTH – How we make agriculture more sustainable

More than a third of the world’s land mass is used for agriculture, resulting in the loss of valuable natural areas. But there are other ways: in California, an organic winegrower fights pests with barn owls and wins many prizes with his wine. In Malaysia, an initiative is encouraging palm oil companies to better protect the rainforest. A global consumer protest has prompted a major banana producer to grow bananas more sustainably. All “good news” that shows: We can change things for the better.
