The Storm

WILDLIFE IN WILD WEATHER

What are wild animals doing when there is lightning and thunder? When a heavy summer storm hits Central Europe with squalls, lightning strikes, hail and torrential rain? People then seek shelter in the safety of their homes. Animals, however, are at the mercy of the ruthlesselements. The film documents the course of a storm and follows the struggle for survival of insects, storks, raccoons and moles. With breathtaking footage, the film shows how animals and plants react to the first warning signs, the surprising strategies they use to cope with the storm and who can even profit from the supposed natural disaster.
