ECHTES LEBEN: TICS AND DREAMS – ADVENTURE WITH TOURETTE’S SYNDROME

Felix (23) lives with Tourette’s syndrome – he has recurring tics. Six months ago, we filmed Felix at work at Hamburg Airport for ‘Quarks Doku’. For ARD, we are now accompanying him on his next chapter: Felix is leaving his familiar surroundings in northern Germany behind for four months to spend a semester abroad in Latvia. He wants to face a foreign language, new people and also being alone. Without the safe network at home, the tics will get worse, Felix is sure of that. Nevertheless, he wants to embark on this adventure. Will Felix succeed – or will his illness slow him down?

Filmmaker Anabel Münstermann accompanied him on his biggest challenge yet for ‘Echtes Leben’.
