GOOD NEWS FROM PLANET EARTH – How we take good care of our waters
Many rivers and lakes are in a worrying state: polluted, over-fertilized, diked or straightened. But people around the world are fighting for clean and living waters: in France, an abandoned quarry pond is being turned into a natural paradise, the city of Leipzig is showing how organic farming affects drinking water quality and in Malaysia, conservationists are reforesting the banks of a tropical river to protect endangered elephants.
